Housewives at play
Ihre "Hauptthemen" sind meist lesbische Spielereien in allen Variationen. Oftmals mit einem MILF-Touch; sprich die gezeigten Frauen sind meist Mütter bzw. Frauen mittleren Alter. Doch auch Bondage- und Inzest-Szenarien werden gerne von ihr aufgegriffen.
Der Erfolg von Rebecca startete beim US-Verleger Eros Comix, mit der Comicheft-Serie Housewives at play. Darin werden - zu Anfang in einer kontinuierlichen Fortsetzung, dann in loser Folge - die Abenteuer von Catherine Mitchell erzählt, die ihr langweiliges "Hausfrau"-Dasein satt hat und darum ihre Nachbarin um Rat bittet. Diese denkt jedoch nur an ihr eigenes Vergnügen und verwandelt die gute Catherine - mittels Erpressung - in ihre ganz persönliche Sex-Sklavin. Das bemerkt auch eine weitere Nachbarin und plötzlich muss Catherine zwei "Meisterinnen" dienen. Im Grunde ihres Herzens gefällt Catherine die neue Situation, sogar als die Sexspiele inzestuöse Wege einschlagen.
Die Freundin ihrer Tochter Jennifer hat an ihrem 18ten Geburtstag ähnliche unterwürfige Wünsche und so wird unvermittelt aus der "Sklavin Catherine" selbst eine "Domina". Diese Sex-Spiele machen sogar vor ihrer eigene Tochter Melissa nicht halt.
Dieses "Treiben" eskaliert jedoch, als Catherines Meisterinnen Patty und Beth unangemeldet auftauchen und die Spielereinen von Jennifer und Catherines Tochter Melissa unterbrechen. Diese Erlebnisse werden im Album Housewives at Play: King-Sized Special erzählt.
Die darauffolgenden Hefte vollziehen einen Sprung in der Erzählung und berichten von Catherines Therapie und wie sie versucht ein neues Leben ohne lesbische Sexgedanken aufzubauen. Hier setzt sich Rebecca kritisch mit der Gesellschaft und der allgemeinen (US)-Moral auseinander, die solch ein Treiben oftmals als "unmoralisch" und "pervers" brandmarkt. Doch dank guter Freundinnen findet Catherine wieder schnell "zurück" in ihr erfülltes Sex-Leben.
Diese kurzen Zusammenfassungen mögen auf den ersten Blick vielleicht oberflächlich oder sexistisch klingen. Die Geschichten werden aber nie sonderlich obszön, erniedrigend oder abfällig gegenüber den weiblichen Charakteren. Ganz im Gegenteil. Vielmehr beschäftigt sich Rebecca recht unverkrampft und spielerisch mit den Variationen des lesbischen Sex- und S&M-Rollenspiels. Die Handlung ist sicherlich oftmals recht einfach und oberflächlich gestrickt. Der Spaß am Sex - sowohl der Protagonisten, sowie der Künstlerin selbst - ist jedoch in jedem Bild zu spüren. Rebeccas Comics und Illustrationen haben ihren gewissen Charme - versprühen eine anregende Wärme, auch wenn die Sex-Action mal etwas rauher wird. Die Geschichte von Catherine in "Housewives at play" ist die Geschichte einer sexuellen Befreiung von gesellschaftlichen Zwängen und Regeln. Das Thema der sexuellen Befreiung - gerade auch von den männlichen Fesseln - ist ein Grundgedanke, den Rebecca in ihren Comic und Illustrationen öfters aufgreift.
Männliche Figuren bekommen in Rebeccas Kunst meist nur die Rolle der "gesichtslosen" Randfigur oder die eines Statisten. Das wird besonders in den Illustationsbüchern deutlich. Männer spielen bei den lesbischen "Begegnungen" nur den Part des verschreckten Moralapostels oder schwanzreduzierten Akteurs. Ein Merkmal ist im Laufe der Jahre augenfällig geworden. Waren zu Beginn ihrer Karriere die gezeichneten Sexspiele "auschließlich" rein lesbischer Natur, so tummeln sich mittlerweile - in den Heftserien, wie in ihren Illustrationen - "häufiger" auch männliche Akteure. Doch ihre Statistenrolle geben sie trotz gestiegener Präsenz nicht ab.
Rebeccas Schaffen umfasst mittlerweile mehr als 30 Comichefte und gut 25 Bände mit ihren wunderbaren monochromen Bleistiftzeichnungen (Stand 2010). Rebeccas Zeichenstil ist in den Comicheften sehr einfach und schnörkellos gehalten. Meist wird mit dem Pinsel getuscht und mit Aquarellfarben koloriert (sowohl die Titelbilder, wie neuerdings auch der Innenteil). Die Bleistift-Illustrationen in den Sammelalben sind etwas hochwertiger und stilvoller. Sie werden größtenteils mit aufwendigen Grauschattierungen ausgearbeitet und ausschließlich in schwarz-weiß gedruckt. Die Comichefte hingegen erlebten durch ihre zunehmende Popularität eine Aufwertung und werden mittlerweile vierfarbig produziert. Dabei kommt Rebeccas Talent im Umgang mit Aquarellfarben mehr und mehr zum tragen.
Hinweis: Rebecca hat eine eigene Homepage im Netz. Die Seite ist jedoch recht stil- und einfallslos aufgemacht und die Angebote versprechen mehr, als sie halten können. Zu Beginn war noch ein Gästebuch integriert, indem es in einigen Beiträgen um die angebotenen Sachen in der bezahlten Member-Sektion ging. Der Tenor der Insider fiel eher negativ aus. Wohl nicht ohne Grund, wurde diese Rubrik wieder entfernt.

Housewives at play
Their "main themes" are mostly lesbian games in all variations. Often with a MILF touch; in other words, the women shown are usually mothers or middle-aged women. However, she also likes to take up bondage and incest scenarios.
Rebecca's success started with the US publisher Eros Comix, with the comic book series Housewives at play. At the beginning, in a continuous continuation, then in a loose series, the adventures of Catherine Mitchell are told, who is fed up with her boring "housewife"existence and asks her neighbour for advice. Her daughter Jennifer's girlfriend has similar submissive desires on her 18th birthday and so suddenly the "slave Catherine" becomes a "domina"herself. These sex games don't even stop at their own daughter Melissa.
This "hustle and bustle" escalates, however, when Catherine's masters Patty and Beth appear unannounced and interrupt the players of Jennifer and Catherine's daughter Melissa. These experiences are told in the album Housewives at Play: King-Sized Special.
The following issues make a leap in the story and tell about Catherine's therapy and how she tries to build a new life without lesbian sexual thoughts. Here Rebecca critically examines society and the general (US) morale, which often denounces such a hustle and bustle as "immoral" and "perverse". But thanks to good friends, Catherine quickly finds her way back into her fulfilled sex life.
These short summaries may sound superficial or sexist at first glance. The stories never become particularly obscene, humiliating or disparaging to the female characters. On the contrary. Rather, Rebecca is concerned with the variations of the lesbian sex and S&M role-playing games in a very relaxed and playful way. The plot is certainly often quite simple and superficially knitted. The fun of sex - both the protagonist and the artist herself - can be felt in every picture. Rebecca's comics and illustrations have a certain charm - they radiate a stimulating warmth, even if the sex action gets a little rougher. The story of Catherine in "Housewives at play" is the story of a sexual liberation from social constraints and rules. The theme of sexual liberation - especially from the manly bondage - is a basic idea that Rebecca often picks up in her comics and illustrations.
In Rebecca's art, male figures usually only get the role of the "faceless" marginal figure or that of an extras. This is particularly evident in the illustrated books. Men play only the part of the frightened moral apostle or tail-reduced protagonist in the lesbian "encounters". One characteristic has become obvious over the years. While at the beginning of their career the drawn sex plays were "exclusively" of a purely lesbian nature, meanwhile - in the magazine series, as in their illustrations - "more often" also male actors are playing around. However, despite their increased presence, they do not give up their role as extras.
Rebecca's work now comprises more than 30 comic books and over 25 volumes with her wonderful monochrome pencil drawings (as of 2010). Rebecca's style of drawing is very simple and straightforward in the comic books. Most of the time, the brush is used for inking and watercolours (both the cover pictures and the inner part are coloured). The pencil illustrations in the scrapbooks are a bit more sophisticated and stylish. They are mostly finished with elaborate shades of grey and printed exclusively in black and white. The comic books, on the other hand, have become more popular and are now produced in four colours. Rebecca's talent in the use of watercolours is becoming more and more evident. Her art is quite simple, recognisable and visually appealing - in the illustrated albums even of charming, high-quality quality and presence. Anatomical carvers have become significantly less in the course of their work and increasing routine.
Note: Rebecca has its own homepage on the net. However, the site is quite unimaginative and without style and the offers promise more than they can keep. At the beginning there was a guestbook integrated, in which some of the articles were about the offered things in the paid member section. The insiders' tone was rather negative. Not without reason, this section has been removed.
These facts cloud the joy a little bit, because Rebecca is extremely talented and her work has reached an excellent level. That's why it's a pity that your website seems so clumsy and uninspired. No sensible person seriously takes "you" seriously, for example, that Rebecca's daughter "Jenny" takes off her clothes to "be available to the readership of Housewives at play" on a "daughter page"of rebeccahap. Why does it all have to look so cheap after money-tapping - with stupid sex slogans, like on any ordinary porn site?
